You might be wondering what our little pug looks like. This coming Friday, the 3rd of November he will turn six months old! He has been with us for about four of those months. His real 'pure-bred' name is 'Jaguar of First Lady'. I would like to point out that Day-bis is the best looking pug around.

I may need to explain his name. One of my subordinates has the last name Davis. My wife has always thought highly of him due to his lay-low, comfortable, by-myself attitude. She wanted our pug to have the same stance and therefore we have the Japanese version of his name. It is in 'katakana English'.

Here is a collage of Day-bis. Enjoy!

You may be wondering when and where I proposed to my wife. Christmas 2005. I wanted it to be perfect.

I wanted it to be sort of private, but I also wanted my family to share in our celebration. I proposed just after opening Christmas presents, Christmas Eve, 2005 in Richfield, Minnesota. With the hustle & bustle of opening presents, chatting with the entire family, I dropped to my knee while she was sitting there in her chair. I remember vividly how the room went silent right around the time of Takako's answer. It was the best feeling of my life. I have been reeling ever since.
